The One Health Initiative is a movement to forge co-equal, all inclusive collaborations between physicians, osteopathic physicians, veterinarians, dentists, nurses and different scientific-health and environmentally associated disciplines, including the American Medical Affiliation, American Veterinary Medical Affiliation, American Academy of Pediatrics, American Nurses Association, American Association of Public Health Physicians, the American Society of Tropical Drugs and Hygiene, the Centers for Illness Control and Prevention (CDC), the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), and the U.S. National Environmental Health Affiliation (NEHA). Dialysis is a lifesaving remedy but unfortunately it’s totally time-consuming with some individuals spending up to 15 hours a week connected to a dialysis machine or some people spending 8 or 9 hours each night attached to a peritoneal dialysis machine. In accordance with , roughly 36 million individuals die each year from non-communicable (not contagious) disease including cardiovascular disease, most cancers, diabetes and chronic lung illness (Shah, 2014).
